Heloise Hint: When do dogs become seniors? Pet experts say dogs become seniors when they are between seven and 10 years old. You may notice that they sleep more, move more slowly and even get gray hair! Talk to your vet about caring for an aging pet.

Heloise Hint: After you dry a load of clothing. Home experts say you should clean the lint screen. You don’t want lint to build up, because it can become a fire hazard.

Heloise Hint: Cleaning terra-cotta pots. If you notice a white residue, empty the pot, wash it with soap and water, scrub it, then rinse it. Next, wipe down the pot with full-strength white vinegar to remove the white residue, which usually is mineral deposits.
