ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Sally Huss
All of Sally Huss’ writing and art is happy in nature and free-spirited in style. Happiness is a theme in everything she creates – from adult and children’s books to large paintings, small gift art, baby bibs, greeting cards, clothing, ceramics, purses, watches, even her newspaper panel.
Sally is a native Californian who graduated from University of Southern California (USC) with a degree in Fine Arts. At the same time Sally was developing her art and writing talents, she was honing her tennis skills. She became a National Junior Champion, a member of the U.S. Wightman Cup Team and a semi-finalist at Wimbledon.
With the help of her husband Marv, former head of advertising and promotion for Hallmark Cards, the pair developed a number of gift/art galleries in California under Sally’s name. Five galleries became 26 as people from other parts of the country wanted to put Sally Huss Galleries in their towns.
Along with writing for her line of greeting cards, Sally began putting her thoughts down in books. Her first, How To Play Power Tennis With Ease (Harcourt Brace,) was followed by Butterfly Kisses and I Love You With All My Hearts (Tommy Nelson.) Next came How To Get Your Man – The Slam-Dunk Formula to Getting the Love of Your Life. Then, she published Eight Golden Rules For How To Play Your Best, which Billie Jean King, Mary Carillo and Dick Enberg have all endorsed.
Her children’s book, A Boat Full of Animals (An Invaluable Book of Values), is in the works and will be followed by several series to help children.
Today, Sally Huss is considered one of the leading artist/designers in the country. Her paintings and gift art brighten walls and uplift hearts in homes, office buildings and hotels. Her happy thoughts smile on newspapers through her Happy Musings illustrated panel. Her works can be found in thousands of homes, including those of Hillary Clinton, Larry Hagman, Mitt Romney, Joel Grey, Kirk Douglas and Jack Jones.
